THUNDER BAY – Police are investigating more than 40 reports of home break and enters during the past month.

The Thunder Bay Police Service issued a media release Tuesday afternoon, advising they have seen a higher number of incidents in the city during March.

Police said the majority of the cases have occurred in the Westfort and south core residential areas, typically between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. when residents are not home.

Small electronics, jewelry and other small valuable items have been reported stolen. In most cases the back door has been kicked in.
