Police investigating sudden death in Intercity area

A woman was found dead in the area of Fort William Road and Isabel Street, along the Neebing MacIntyre Floodway.

THUNDER BAY — City police are investigating a sudden death after a woman was found deceased in the area of Fort William Road and Isabel Street. 

Several social media accounts of the incident claim a body was found in the Neebing MacIntyre Floodway, though police have not publicly confirmed it as such. 

A visible police presence remains in the area, but there is no threat to public safety at this time. 

No further information is available, though updates will be provided when available, according to a police release issued on Monday.
