THUNDER BAY – City police are investigating an incident on May Street that left an adult male victim in hospital with serious injuries.
Police say the exact extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.
According to a release issued on Wednesday afternoon, police were called to a residence in the 200 block of May Street North at about 7:45 p.m. and found paramedics on scene treating the victim, the evidence pointing to a serious assault having occurred.
The victim was transported to hospital for further evaluation and treatment of his injuries.
Thunder Bay Police’s major crimes and forensic identification unit are now involved in the investigation.

Police are currently investigating the other serious incidents, two of which they believe are connected. The first is on Shipley Street, where blood can be seen smeared on the side of a house in the 100 block and on the street.
The other incident took place at an apartment complex in the 200 block of Brock Street East. Police have taped off a driveway and a section of the lane-way behind the home.
