THUNDER BAY -- Police have arrested three individuals in separate child pornography investigations.
In a release, Thunder Bay Police say they took a 20-year-old man into custody on Thursday, May 15 after reports of an adult male interacting with a female youth on social media, allegedly soliciting and sending nude images.
An investigation by the TBPS cyber crimes unit identified a suspect and led to an arrest.
Damiyen Malo, 20, is charged with luring a child, possession of child pornography and making sexually explicit material available to a child.
In the second case, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Feb. 27, when they seized multiple electronic devices for further examination.
Upon further review, police determined the suspect had solicited nude images from a female youth.
The suspect turned himself into police on Friday, May 16.
Arjun Vimal Roy, 25, was charged with luring a child, possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and distributing child pornography.
A third arrest came less than a month after police raided a residence on April 22 and seized multiple electronic devices. Police began the investigation after learning a local internet user was suspected of sharing child sexual abuse material.
The suspect turned himself in on Friday, May 16 and was arrested.
Daniel Atkinson, 44, is charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and distributing child pornography.
None of the charges have been proven in court.
