Police looking for May Street convenience store robber

Police are looking for a man who robbed a south-side convenience store early Wednesday morning. Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service say a male suspect robbed the Mac’s store at 340 May Street North at about 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service say a male suspect robbed the Mac’s store at 340 May Street North at about 1 a.m. Wednesday. Police say a weapon was not spotted during the incident, and that there were no injuries reported.

The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen running southbound on May Street North.

The suspect is described as an Aboriginal man, between the ages of 30 and 40-years old. He stands about six feet tall. His face was covered during the robbery.

Police say the suspect wore a red hoodie, sunglasses and red gloves during the robbery.
