THUNDER BAY – Police are searching for two suspects who broke into a 66-year-old man’s apartment before beating him.

Thunder Bay Police received an abandoned 911 call around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and responded to an apartment building on the 300 block of North McKellar Street where they found the man bleeding from his head after being struck by a heavy object.

He was taken to hospital by paramedics and has since been released.

The man was sleeping in his living room and woke up to find two men in his apartment. They briefly left but returned a short time later leading to the altercation.
