Police looking for witnesses to single-vehicle crash

Thunder Bay Police are looking for eyewitnesses to a crash that took place Friday and sent a five-year-old boy to hospital. The accident occurred on a bend along Copenhagen Road, about two kilometres off the TransCanada Highway.

The accident occurred on a bend along Copenhagen Road, about two kilometres off the TransCanada Highway.

According to police, the driver lost control on a corner and struck a pole. The boy, the only passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash, suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital for further examination.

The adult driver was not injured.

Police are now looking for the driver of a black pickup truck that was said to be travelling in the oncoming lane at the time of the collision.

Police encourage the driver or any witnesses to come forward and contact the police traffic unit.
