THUNDER BAY — For the second time in two weeks, the Thunder Bay Police Service is giving the public notice about an increased police presence in certain parts of the city, particularly on the south side.

TBPS issued a statement Tuesday morning advising "visible law enforcement activity" can be expected this week.

They said officers will be conducting searches for evidence related to an ongoing investigation.

No other details were provided, but police said there is no threat to public safety.

TBPS launched a similar exercise on Apr 28.
