A search warrant at a Hester Street address has led to a major marijuana bust.

Police on Tuesday seized 3.5 kilograms of pot from a Hester Street address, worth approximately $70,000.

The discovery of the drug, found in individually sealed packages, led to charges against a 23-year-old Thunder Bay man, who the Combined Forces Organized Crime Unit did not name.

The man, since released from custody with orders to appear in court at a later date, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking – marijuana and proceeds of crime not exceeding $5,000.

About $1,000 in cash was also recovered at the scene.
