City police have received new reports about an injured bear roaming a section of the city.
A Thunder Bay Police Services spokesperson says one of those new calls came in Wednesday evening to report a sighting near Hutton Park.
Later on the animal was spotted wandering the area of John Street Road.
Police say another tip came in that indicated a bear may have been sighted behind the River Terrace subdivision around 7:40 a.m.
Police officers and officials with the Ministry of Natural Resources continue to their efforts in locating the bear, as well track down a large cat believed by many to be a cougar.
