THUNDER BAY --A teenager is in hospital after a three-vehicle collision on the city's north side on Friday afternoon.

Ambulances transported a 15-year-old female with a head injury from the site of a collision on Golf Links Road near Sunrise Boulevard as snow and rain dropped the first winter storm of the season on Thunder Bay.

No information is available as to how serious those injuries are at this time.

Police are attending to a second collision at the corner of Memorial and High Streets. In that two-vehicle collision, air bags were deployed in both vehicles but no one was seriously injured.

Thunder Bay Police Service Staff Sgt. Frank Early advised motorists they should adapt to winter driving.

"Thunder Bay Police just caution people to drive safely," he said.

"The weather conditions are changing at this time of year and there's always an adjustment period until they get used to it again."
