Police say man approached, followed pre-teen on city's south side

Police are seeking a suspicious chubby, booze-swigging male they say approached and followed a 12-year-old girl on Monday in the vicinity of Robertson Street and Pacific Avenue.

Police are seeking a suspicious chubby, booze-swigging male they say approached and followed a 12-year-old girl on Monday in the vicinity of Robertson Street and Pacific Avenue.

In a release issued on Tuesday afternoon, Thunder Bay Police say the female was walking home from school when the suspect approached her from behind. She began to run away, but the suspect started jogging after her.

The pre-teen was able to make it safely home, where she advised her parents of the situation.

Police say the suspect was Caucasian, about 20 years old, with light hair and a clean-shaven face. He was dark clothing and a dark-coloured hat.
