Police seek knife-wielding robbery suspect (2 photos)

THUNDER BAY -- City police are asking for the public’s assistance to help identify a suspect accused of robbing a Mac’s Convenience Store on North Edward Street.

Police say a masked male suspect entered the store on Monday around 10:40 p.m., armed with a knife. He demanded money and cigarettes and left the store with both items.

No one was injured in this incident.

The suspect is described as an Indigenous man standing six-feet-two-inches tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a black toque with a team Canada logo and two grey stripes, a white quarter zip sweatshirt with grey stripes on the bicep, jeans, and blue athletic shoes with yellow stripes.
