Police seize plants and pot in Atikokan

A 48-year -old man faces charges following a drug bust in Atikokan Wednesday. Police say a search of a home in that community turned up about 131 marijuana plants and a quantity of dried marijuana.

Police say a search of a home in that community turned up about 131 marijuana plants and a quantity of dried marijuana.

Value of the drugs seized is estimated to be around $57,000.

The suspect has been charged with production of marijuana and possession for the purposes of trafficking.
