THUNDER BAY -- The first annual Woofstock is coming to this city Sunday.

The inaugural Woofstock takes place at Waverley Park this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Jim Comuzzi is the Chair of Waterfront District BIA, one of the hosts of this event.  He says Woofstock's aim is to promote pet rescue, adoption and responsible pet ownership.

He says it will be a day of doggie food, fashion and fun.

Admission is $5 per person and free for children under 12 years-old.

Proceeds from Woofstock will go toward local dog rescues and adoption groups.
