A search of a wooded area off City Road by police and volunteers turned up negative results for 15-year-old Jordan Wabasse, who went missing sometime after Feb. 7.

Anishinabek Police Service and volunteers searched a wooded area off City Road, east of James Street on Friday. Police didn’t find any clues. Thunder Bay Police Service officers also began to search the riverbanks adjacent to the original dive site on the Kaministriquia River near James Street.

While police searched on land, poor weather conditions delayed the arrival of the OPP’s helicopter from southern Ontario. Police say they expect the helicopter to arrive sometime Sunday afternoon and begin an aerial search of the river.
