TORONTO, Ont. -- A Porter flight from Thunder Bay was forced to divert and land at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport this past weekend.
Porter officials confirmed that the Sunday Flight 630 was forced to make the stop at Pearson as a precaution. Porter flights landing in Toronto use the Billy Bishop Airport near that city’s downtown and not Pearson.
The captain decided to land at Pearson because of an indication received in the cockpit.
Passengers were bused to Billy Bishop from Pearson, and passengers with connecting flights were “managed accordingly.”
