The Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge has announced the closure of a portion of Oliver Road.
The section between Calvert Road and Pointe De Meuron is inaccessible due to repairs to the CPR crossing. Construction crews were digging up, repairing and replacing the railroad tracks at the crossing Tuesday. The large hole is being refilled and paved before the tracks are re-layered.
The road will remain closed until Thursday.
Detour routes are posted and travelers are advised to plan in advance for the extra time needed to reach their destination.
