Getting more high school students into post-secondary is the aim of a partnership between local school boards and Confederation College.

Forty-eight students in Grade 11 received conditional acceptances this week. They've been identified through their schools, and were recommended for the Confederation Bound program.

One student is Nevin Longridge from Superior Collegiate. He's been offered a spot in the Paramedic program, and says this opportunity puts him in a much better place with his academics.

College registrar Don Duclos says last year, of the 36 students offered future classroom spots, 30 are set to attend in the fall. That’s a success rate that is more than he could ever have hoped for.
