Thunder Bay's Queen of Hearts committee is gearing up to demonstrate the power of the purse.
The new fundraiser coming up next month will feature about 25 purses and "man bags" available through silent auction, as well as clothes, shoes, accessories and makeovers.
Thunder Bay native and celebrity fashion expert Moe Kelso will be on hand to share her expertise.
Queen of Hearts member Pam Henderson says they're hoping to raise at least $15,000 for the Boys and Girls Club.
Executive director Albert Aiello said the money will help benefit about 2,000 kids in the city.
The Power of the Purse event will take place the evening of May the 12 at Dominion Motors.
Tickets are available at the dealership and at the Boys and Girls Club.
Henderson said both women and men are welcome to attend.
