THUNDER BAY – A power outage on the south side of the city left between 600 and 1,300 customers without electricity on Friday morning.

Synergy north officials, in a Twitter message issued just before 10:30 a.m., said power had been restored to most customers and blamed the incident on Hydro One equipment failure.

They added as a result of the outage, the utility’s phone lines are currently unavailable.
