THUNDER BAY – Health minister Christine Elliott says pregnancy has been added to the list of eligibility requirements to qualify for a COVID-19 vaccination.

Elliott said the new addition to Phase 2 of Ontario’s vaccine roll-out goes into effect on Friday.

The health minister said pregnant individuals living in a public health unit that uses the provincial booking system can phone the call centre at 1-888-999-6488 to book an appointment, while those in health units not using the provincial system should contact their local health unit to book an appointment.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit uses the public health system.
