A three-day preliminary hearing began Wednesday for two young girls charged with second-degree murder.
The pair was taken into custody last September in connection with the death of a 16 year-old girl from the Sachigo Lake First Nation.
The body of the victim was found in a wooded area, off a walking path near County Park.
The names of the 15- and 16-year-old accused are not being released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
A trial date will be set at the conclusion of the preliminary hearing.
