THUNDER BAY -- Premier Kathleen Wynne is scheduled to be in town on Thursday to help kick off Day 1 of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association's annual general meeting.

The premier is slated to deliver remarks in an evening address.

The 70th AGM will also feature a host of cabinet ministers and other dignitaries, including Opposition Leader Patrick Brown and the president of the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation.

The event will culminate on Friday with an annual bear-pit session, a chance for municipal leaders from throughout the region to ask questions directly of cabinet ministers.
