THUNDER BAY -- For the second time in the past month, a group of protesters stopped in Thunder Bay to bring awareness about alleged atrocities happening in China.

A demonstration took place in front of City Hall Thursday, by practitioners of Falun Gong, an ancient Chinese spiritual practice.

The organizers claimed that thousands of Falun Gong practitioners are being kidnapped and murdered for their organs in China.

The purpose of these demonstrations are to urge Canadians to write to local politicians, to condemn organ harvesting.

Just last month, a couple travelling across Canada made a stop in Thunder Bay to bring awareness to this same issue.

Hongyan Lu said her mother was kidnapped in China and fears she may eventually be murdered for her organs.
