THUNDER BAY -- Public elementary school teachers are stepping up job action next week.

The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario says members won't be responding to most email, unless it has to do with safety, as of Monday. They also won't be preparing report cards or doing parent interviews. If bargaining doesn't resume, rotating one-day strikes could begin in October.

It comes on the same day that both the Ontario English Catholic School Teachers' Association and Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation ratified central contract agreements.
