The Lakehead Public School Board has begun contract negotiations with the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation.
A board spokesperson confirmed talks were happening Thursday but refused to provide any more details because of a media blackout. The OSSTF imposed job action last week at boards across the province, including a withdrawal of some supervision duties here in Thunder Bay.
So far, eight school boards in southern Ontario have reached tentative deals with its high school teachers this week.
