THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is urging anyone over five to get a flu shot at a local pharmacy, saying the city is still receiving a weekly supply despite a nationwide shortage.

People five and older are eligible for a flu shot at a pharmacy, while the health unit continues to book appointments for children younger than five, who cannot receive one at a pharmacy.

The health unit says it has a limited supply of the flu vaccine and is prioritizing distribution to people with a reduced access to a pharmacy.

To book an appointment for a child under five, phone 625-5900, extension 5108, or visit www.thunderbayflu.ca and click on Getting the Flu Shot for more information.
