THUNDER BAY – A young boy has left local paramedics with a letter of gratitude that is both adorable and heart breaking.

Norm Gale, chief of Superior North EMS and the president of the Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs, on Friday afternoon tweeted the boy’s letter and picture.

According to the tweet, the message was left as a poster at the Thunder Bay EMS headquarters.

“Thank you for saving my mommy,” the poster reads, which appears to be written with more mature penmanship above the youngster’s drawing. “She passed away, but we were able to say goodbye. It means a world of difference to us. The paramedics tried very hard and we appreciate that.”
