RED LAKE, Ont. -- On March 7, 2015, at approximately 7:30 pm, Red Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were patrolling the area of Balmertown within the Municipality of Red Lake.
The OPP officers observed a motorized snow vehicle with two occupants traveling across Highway 125 towards Pine Street. The officers stopped the motorized snow vehicle and determined that marijuana was present.
As a result of the investigation, officers seized a total of 5.5 grams of cannabis marihuana and drug paraphernalia.
A 21-year-old Red Lake man has been charged with Possession of a controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA).
The accused scheduled to appear in the Red Lake Ontario Court of Justice on March 25, 2015 to answer to the charge.
