THUNDER BAY – The local chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society held their 13th annual Relay for Life at Fort William Historical Park this weekend.
The event drew 70 teams, totalling close to 700 participants. It is expected that more than 2,000 spectators dropped by to show support.
The theme for this year’s edition was Retro Relay and there were people dressed in a wide range of different costumes.
The event kicked off at 7 p.m. on Friday before wrapping up at 7 a.m. Saturday morning.
Fundraising coordinator Laara Losier said the goal was to raise $183,000.
