The Canadian Cancer Society’s local Relay for Life is getting a facelift in 2015.

Event organizers on Monday said they’ll be shortening the length of this year’s fundraiser to six hours, from 6 p.m. until midnight on June 19.

“This year’s new format will still encompass all of the amazing aspects that people love about Relay, but will be packed into a six-hour event,” says Ashley Rooney, fundraising co-ordinator of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Thunder Bay community office in a release.

“We are excited to evolve and strengthen our signature fundraiser in order to raise more money for our important mission work."
