THUNDER BAY – Repair work has been completed on a north side water main break.
City crews finished fixing a major water main break on Van Norman Street between High and Duke Streets on Monday afternoon, more than 24 hours after water began flowing.
The break happened around noon on Sunday and sent water gushing down Van Norman Street while repairs were conducted.
Gerald Luty, city sewer and water department supervisor, told CKPR Radio no homes or businesses lost water while the repairs were conducted.
The section of Van Norman, which had been closed since early Sunday afternoon, has been reopened to traffic.
