A man allegedly waving a gun at passersby has been arrested.

Thunder Bay Police said they were alerted at 3:25 on Saturday afternoon that someone in possession of a black-coloured handgun was pointing at civilians in the area of Cumberland and MacDougall streets. Two adult males were arrested and taken into custody.

One suspect was charged with weapons dangerous and breach of probation, while a second was arrested on outstanding warrants.
Police said a replica handgun was located and seized at the scene.

Both men, who have not been identified, are in custody awaiting a court hearing.
