The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business magazine has come out with its biggest one-year winners and losers list.
The news isn’t good for Bombardier, which features one of the biggest ranking drops in the report.
The Report on Business list shows Bombardier’s profit rank sunk to 995 in 2014, a drastic change from the 40 it posted the year before.
Much of Bombardier’s business woes have come from its air division. But the reputation of rail received a black eye this year due to issues with delivering on a TTC streetcar contract.
TTC officials visited the local plant and both the company and its customer are optimistic Bombardier can make good on a new delivery schedule.
Some market analysts also believe the company’s air division is on the cusp of a rebound as well.
