Well, it turns out city hall can’t fight Mother Nature.

With temperatures rising as spring rapidly approaches, city officials on Wednesday announced all municipally run outdoor rinks in Thunder Bay, with the exception of the ice pad at Marina Park, are being closed for the winter season.

The Marina Park rink will remain open for the time being, dependent on weather conditions.

The public may phone 684-2080 to check on ice conditions.
