A local sawmill is the latest casualty of the flooding situation.
The Resolute Forest Products lumber mill on the Fort William First Nation has been forced to shut down for at least two days because of road closures in their woodland areas.
General manager Luke Drapeau said along with the highway washouts, they've also had flooding problems on their bush roads, making it harder to maintain enough inventory for the sawmill.
About 75 employees are temporarily laid off, and Drapeau said they are re-evaluating the situation day-to-day.
