THUNDER BAY -- Hydro One says it dispatched a line crew to fix a problem that took nearly 900 rural Thunder Bay customers off the power grid on Tuesday afternoon.

The outage was reported during the noon hour.

It affected customers in Oliver-Paipoonge and the townships of Ware, Forbes, Fowler and Dawson Road Lots.

Hydro One said the cause of the power interruption was a tree falling on a line.

It projected that repairs would be completed by the end of the day.

As of 4:00PM, power had been restored to about half the affected customers.
