SHUNIAH — Shuniah residents who want to give their municipal leaders feedback on what they should be focusing on for the next four years have until Sept. 30 to respond to an online survey.

The municipality is in the process of developing its next four-year strategic plan and is seeking input from taxpayers.

"Community input is critical to the success of this assignment," a survey bulletin says.

In the survey, respondents are asked how they feel about several issues, including community safety, quality of life, health, business climate, economic development, municipal services and policing.

Shuniah contracts policing to the Ontario Provincial Police's Thunder Bay detachment.

The municipality's website, shuniah.org, has a link to the survey. Hard-copy versions can be requested by calling the municipal office at 807-683-4545.
