A dashboard video of two trucks nearly involved in a head-on crash on Highway 11 has been posted to YouTube.

The video, which can be viewed below, shows the crash from the perspective of the one driver. In the video, which is date stamped Jan. 4 just after 8 a.m., the driver of one transport truck is forced into guardrails on a highway to avoid the head on crash with another transport truck that appeared to be attempting to pass a snow plow.

“This was on Highway 11 driving eastbound past Nipegon [sic],” a YouTube comment published by the original poster reads.

“Other driver was headed westbound. Please share this with anyone you know. This guy needs to be stopped before he kills someone. He didn't even care enough to stop. Just took off. Truck drivers have families too.”

An OPP spokesman says police have seen the video and are looking into whether the incident was reported and are trying to identify the driver of the truck to lay possible charges, including unsafe pass and failure to remain.
