A weekend search near the Piangikum First Nation has come to a tragic end.
The search in the Berens Lake area began Thursday, Sept. 23, after 37-year-old Michael Dunsford failed to return from a fishing trip.
Search teams initially found the man's boat adrift in the lake with a damaged motor.
The OPP's underwater search and recovery team then located the missing man's remains on Saturday.
MNR air-search team and band members from the community also assisted with the search effort.
