SANDY LAKE FIRST NATION– NAPS have charged a pair with trafficking cocaine following an investigation in Sandy Lake First Nation last month.
According to a Nishnawbe Aski Police Service release, officers executed two search warrants on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at a residence located in Sandy Lake First Nation.
Police seized cocaine, suboxone, two firearms and about $11,270 in cash.
Ronald McPherson, 42, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Police also charged Krista Fiddler, 37, with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Both individuals have been released on conditions and will appear in Sandy Lake court on April 4.
Sandy Lake First Nation is approximately 600 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay.
