Second-degree murder charge laid in Constance Lake First Nation death

A 28-year-old man is in custody in connection with a suspicious death at Constance Lake First Nation.

A 28-year-old man is in custody in connection with a suspicious death at Constance Lake First Nation.

Nishnawbe Aski Police Service officers responded to an altercation early on Saturday, where they found 35-year-old Fabian Bunting with no vital signs.

The OPP were called in to investigate the death.

Constance Lake First Nation resident Bradley Bunting was subsequently charged with second degree murder and remains in custody, awaiting a court appearance on Monday.

A post-mortem is scheduled for Tuesday.

Police, who did not release the cause of death, are asking anyone with information to contact NAPS ast 705-272-5600, extension 34, or the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Constance Lake First Nation is located about 50 kilometres northwest of Hearst, Ont.
