THUNDER BAY -- A second person sought in the beating death of an 18-year-old man earlier this week is now in custody.
The Thunder Bay Police Service confirmed Thursday morning the individual was arrested in connection with the vicious assault which took place outside a Windsor Street housing complex just after midnight on Wednesday.
The identity of the second person arrested has not been revealed, pending a first court appearance.
Police have also not publicly released the identity of the victim.
Police had previously arrested 18-year-old Cecil Todd Matinet faces a single count of second-degree murder.
Matinet was arrested at a Blucher Street home shortly after the fatal incident.
He appeared in court on Wednesday and remains in custody.
