THUNDER BAY -- An initiative by Lakehead Public Schools to bring in security personnel to monitor school hallways is resulting in some problems.
The school board confirmed there was an incident at Superior Collegiate earlier this week involving a male security guard and a female student.
Board officials say the incident involved what's been termed "inappropriate comments."
The official says as soon as the principal was informed, an investigation was conducted and the security guard was replaced in the school.
The security people were brought in following a teachers decision to withdraw monitoring of hallways and other services, due to their contract dispute with the province.
