THUNDER BAY -- Where there’s smoke, there isn’t always fire.
But there was enough smoke on the fourth floor of a 102-unit seniors apartment on West Donald Street to warrant an evacuation just after midnight Thursday morning.
The tenants were brought to another area of the building as firefighters checked out the source of the smoke.
The affected portion of the building was ventilated.
A mechanical contractor was called to repair a failure in one of the heating units, which was the source of the smoke.
