Sentencing for two teen girls who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in May has been delayed for another two weeks.

The two accused, who are 16 and 17 years old, pleaded guilty on May 22 on manslaughter charges in connection to the death of a 16-year old Sachigo Lake First Nation girl.

The fatal incident took place in a wooded walkway in the County Park area on Sept. 20, 2010.

Both the Crown and defense lawyers said pre-sentence reports were late getting to them and they needed more time to review them.

Sentencing is now scheduled for July 31.

The accused were originally charged with second-degree murder.

The names of the two girls cannot be published in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
