PEARL, Ont. – A serious multi-vehicle collision has caused an hours-long closure of Highway 11/17 near Pearl, about 50 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay.
Shuniah Fire & Emergency Services reported responding to the incident about three kilometres east of Pearl around 3:40 p.m. Sunday, later adding OPP were also on scene.
The service described the collision as “serious” and said it involved two vehicles, warning motorists to expect “significant delays.”
Traffic was initially closed in both directions, but reopened eastbound by 7 p.m..
