THUNDER BAY – A major winter storm in Southern Ontario is disrupting flights at the local airport.
A number of flights scheduled to arrive in Thunder Bay on Tuesday have been cancelled as a result of a Monday night storm that brought freezing rain, ice pellets and snow to the region.
WestJet, which cancelled two early morning flights from Toronto to Thunder Bay, issued a travel advisory for passengers warning there is a risk of delays or cancellations on Tuesday for travellers in Southern Ontario.
Air Canada and Porter had flights delayed.
Within Northwestern Ontario, Bearskin Airlines and Wasaya Airways had Tuesday morning cancellations.
