Shelter House is teaming up Saturday with volunteers from Thunder Bay's three Rotary Clubs to host what they're terming the largest food drive of the year.

Also joining the collection are representatives of the OLG Casino, the Lakehead Thunderwolves men's basketball team and Ultimate Gymnastics.

"We, along with our dedicated volunteer groups, are working to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry at meal times. It is imperative to our client’s health and well-being that they have access to hot, home cooked meals on a daily basis. This food drive helps to stock our pantry so we can continue to cook these meals for those who need them most," said Alexandra Calderon, a development officer at Shelter House.

The drive will take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at several locations, inlcuding Thunder Bay's three Metro locations, the Wal-Mart on Memorial Avenue and Westfort Foods on Frederica Street.
